What Men Carry Every Day

for Men. Here's the deal: every man carries something. The question isn't whether or not you're carrying something, because, well, we all are. The question is whether what we're carrying is what God gave us to carry or if it's something we were never meant to hold in the first place. My name is Brian Crumb, and I'm not a pastor, I'm not a professional Bible teacher, I'm just a man who got tired of watching men, myself included, settle for less than what God actually calls us to. Now I'm not perfect and I'm not claiming to be. This show isn't about that. But recently in prayer, God made something very clear to me that I haven't been able to shake. Men like you and me need a front line, not another shelf collecting dust. We need a place that calls men back to their God-given identity and pushes us towards real community, real conversation, real accountability, and yes, a real local church. Don't get me wrong, online church has its place. But that was never God's whole plan for us.

Why “Everyday Carry” Matters

Now, about the name Everyday Carrie. You probably already know that phrase. At least most of us do. It's what you keep on you, it's what you're never without. And that's no accident. We're borrowing that phrase on purpose because Jesus said something that should function the same way in our lives. Luke 9 23 says, Take up your cross daily and follow me. Did you catch that? It says daily, not weekly on Sundays, not once at an altar years ago, but every single morning. There's a second layer too. In Mark chapter 2, four men carry the paralyzed friend to Jesus because he can't get there on his own. When a crowd locks the door, they don't give up. They climb to the roof, tear a hole in it, and they lower him down right at Jesus' feet. Jesus responds to their fate, not just his. That's why the men around you matter, and that's who we're raising up here. Mat carriers, men who show up for other men when it matters the most.

The Format And Daily Charge

So, here's the format. Five days a week, five to six minutes a day, ideally, right as you're starting your morning. Real scripture in its real context, not a feel-good reinterpretation with no call to action. If that's what you're after, there's plenty of shows out there for that, and this isn't one of them. Each week we'll have one theme, and every episode ends with a charge. Something specific to do that day. This isn't a show for men who want to feel better about staying the same. It's for men who want to become who God called them to be: a better husband, father, worker, and leader. So, let's practice. Here's what you're carrying today. Going back to Luke 9.23, it says, take up your cross daily. So, that's where we're starting. With one decision. We're gonna show up.
