Every Day Carry: A Daily Word for Men
Every man carries something. The question is whether you're carrying what God gave you to carry — or something you were never meant to hold.
Every Day Carry is a daily devotional podcast for men who are done settling for less than who God actually called them to be. Five days a week, host Brian Crum opens Scripture in its real context — no feel-good reinterpretation, no fluff — and hands you one clear charge to carry into your day. Each week follows a single theme, from leading your household to guarding your mind to standing firm under pressure, so the Word builds on itself instead of scattering.
This isn't a show for men who want to feel better about staying the same. It's for husbands, fathers, workers, and leaders who want real brotherhood, real accountability, and a faith that shows up Monday through Friday — not just on Sunday.
Take up your cross daily, and follow Him. That's Luke 9:23. That's the charge. Let's carry it.

Courage Is A Command

Every man carries something, but not everything you’re carrying belongs on your back. We wrap the first week of Everyday Carry by landing on Joshua 1:9, and it’s a gut check for any Christian man who has been calling avoidance “being careful.” God doesn’t open with a pep talk. He opens with a command: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.”
We walk back through the week’s stories and connect the dots. Abram leaves comfort. Moses argues with God at the burning bush. Gideon hides when he feels small. David remembers what God already did before facing what’s next. Each man has a reason to stay put, and each one moves anyway. Joshua faces his own moment when Moses is gone and the responsibility is now his. The big takeaway is simple and steady: courage isn’t about feeling brave, and your qualification was never your own strength.
We talk about fear in a grounded way. Fear shows up in real life, and feeling it isn’t sin. The danger is staying paralyzed when God has already told you to move. Then we give you a clear weekend challenge: pick the one thing you’ve been avoiding, stop waiting to feel ready, and obey before the feeling arrives, trusting that the Lord is with you wherever you go.
