Every Day Carry: A Daily Word for Men
Every man carries something. The question is whether you're carrying what God gave you to carry — or something you were never meant to hold.
Every Day Carry is a daily devotional podcast for men who are done settling for less than who God actually called them to be. Five days a week, host Brian Crum opens Scripture in its real context — no feel-good reinterpretation, no fluff — and hands you one clear charge to carry into your day. Each week follows a single theme, from leading your household to guarding your mind to standing firm under pressure, so the Word builds on itself instead of scattering.
This isn't a show for men who want to feel better about staying the same. It's for husbands, fathers, workers, and leaders who want real brotherhood, real accountability, and a faith that shows up Monday through Friday — not just on Sunday.
Take up your cross daily, and follow Him. That's Luke 9:23. That's the charge. Let's carry it.

How False Teaching Slips Into Healthy Churches
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The most dangerous drift in a church rarely shows up with flashing lights. It shows up quietly, carried in by someone we already trust, until one day the priorities have shifted and we cannot name how it happened. We dig into 2 Peter 2 and Peter’s blunt warning that false teachers can rise up among you, not only “out there,” and they often smuggle destructive ideas in alongside things that are true.
From there, we trace the engine Peter calls out: greed. Not simply money, but pleonexia, the craving for more. We talk about why “many will follow” means crowds are not automatic proof of health, and why spiritual leadership can become dangerous when people turn into inventory. If you have ever wondered how churches slide into manipulation, pressure giving, or prosperity-style promises, this conversation gives you language for the pattern and a clear way to test what you are seeing.
We also make an important distinction: Scripture talks about money a lot, and a church that never mentions it can be avoidant. The real question is direction. Does money serve the mission, or does the congregation end up serving the man? We walk through practical warning signs like closed finances, no outside accountability, and leaders who cannot be questioned, and we balance it with a biblical view that pastors should be paid, even paid well.
We close with a simple “carry” you can act on today: find out whether your church publishes a budget or financial report that members can access, and if it exists, actually read it.
