Every Day Carry: A Daily Word for Men
Every man carries something. The question is whether you're carrying what God gave you to carry — or something you were never meant to hold.
Every Day Carry is a daily devotional podcast for men who are done settling for less than who God actually called them to be. Five days a week, host Brian Crum opens Scripture in its real context — no feel-good reinterpretation, no fluff — and hands you one clear charge to carry into your day. Each week follows a single theme, from leading your household to guarding your mind to standing firm under pressure, so the Word builds on itself instead of scattering.
This isn't a show for men who want to feel better about staying the same. It's for husbands, fathers, workers, and leaders who want real brotherhood, real accountability, and a faith that shows up Monday through Friday — not just on Sunday.
Take up your cross daily, and follow Him. That's Luke 9:23. That's the charge. Let's carry it.

When Godliness Has No Power

A lot of churches know how to look healthy. They can feel warm, sound correct, and run a tight Sunday morning. The terrifying question we sit with today is simpler: are we seeing any real change?
We walk through Paul’s warning in 2 Timothy 3, especially the line that lands like a punch: “having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.” We talk about “morphosis,” the outward shape of faith that nails the silhouette Christianity is supposed to have, while quietly rejecting the expectation that the Holy Spirit actually transforms people. That’s the subtle trap: we don’t deny the gospel with our doctrine, we deny it by treating it like information instead of power, by settling into years of learning without arriving at truth that changes how we live.
Then we turn the mirror toward ourselves. How long have we listened to sound teaching, and what specifically has changed in our repentance, our marriages, our confession, our obedience, and our courage to both receive and give loving correction? We close with a concrete challenge you can act on today: name a man at your church who is genuinely different than he was two years ago, name what changed him, and thank God out loud for that work.
If this hit home, subscribe so you don’t miss tomorrow, share it with a brother who needs it, and leave a five-star rating and review so more men can find the show. What’s one clear change you’re asking God to produce next?
